This interactive workshop aims to educate participants about the importance of early detection and prevention of oral cancer. Attendees will learn about common risk factors, warning signs, and the latest advancements in screening techniques.

If your kids are doing online learning, all of a sudden you’re not just their parent/caregiver – you’re also their teacher, their lunch server, their recess aid, and their friend, all rolled into one. It can be stressful to take on all these roles and try to keep a level head for your kids. This online workshop with Carmen Holland of NET Community Care CUA will be a safe space where parents, caregivers, and those who interact with youth can talk about the challenges and victories of raising a family, especially during this difficult time.

Feeling stressed by Covid-19 is normal, but there are techniques you can use to respond to this stress in healthier ways. Led by Sharell Wilson of Fruits of the Family Table, this online workshop will help you work through your grief – whether it is large or small – and show you ways to be kinder to yourself during this difficult time.
This is a part 2 to our earlier workshop on Coping During Covid, but you do not need to have attended the first session to benefit from this one.

If you’ve struggled to keep up a healthy diet during Covid, attend this workshop with nutrition educator Alex Evenson. We will talk about healthy snacking habits as well as how to plan meals and grocery store trips to maximize your health and safety. To top it off, Alex will give a cooking demonstration on how to make fresh produce last longer!

Alex Evenson, a nutrition educator, has taught nutrition and cooking to children, adults and seniors with Vetri Community Partnership, Health Promotion Council and Farm to Families for the past four years. She is passionate about home cooking and preventing food waste in the home. Alex holds a Masters in Culinary Arts & Science from Drexel University.
